Mango Dessert

It’s mango season! Delicious mangos are up in the trees and are nicely piled at the small stalls down the streets. It is unavoidable, we have to eat mangoes every day… so why not turn them into a great dessert as well?

An easy way to cut a mango is to first halve it (cut beside the pit), and then to incise each half crosswise. Now turn the skin inside-out, making it look like some kind of hedgehog. In this way it is quite easy to cut the fruit from the skin.

Take half a litre of yoghurt (to make it yourself click here) or quark and mix it with the mango pulp in the blender. If your mangoes are not as sweet as ours, you can still add vanilla sugar.
